Idan has always been enamored with building things. From Legos as a child to software applications as a student to strategic roadmaps as a professional, Idan lives for the challenge of a blank slate and the process of building something new. As a technology-first early adopter, Idan’s curiosity and technical background continues to drive him to the next wave of automation and innovation, from mobile to cloud to AI.
Idan has been with Watertower since 2018, leading investments in B2B Software, Vertical AI, and FinTech / Capital Markets Infrastructure. He manages portfolio-level operations as well as the development of our proprietary technology sourcing and research stack.
Prior to Watertower, Idan built deep expertise and a notable track record in technology innovation and digital transformation for enterprises. At Slalom Consulting, he worked with Fortune 100 clients on designing and implementing cloud, blockchain, and machine learning solutions. He also co-founded and launched Comake, a productivity software platform business built on a revolutionary knowledge graph architecture. Idan started his career at General Electric (GE) in their IT Leadership Program where he migrated GE’s first application to public cloud infrastructure.
Idan holds a BS from Cornell University’s College of Engineering and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. During his time at Anderson he was President of the Entrepreneur Association, a Venture Fellow, and served on the Price Center Board.
