Growing up, Jake has always had a knack for technology. From troubleshooting computer issues to teaching his parents to use smartphone applications, Jake was the household head of IT. Building off this passion, Jake began his career at an investment bank helping advise tech startups through M&A and capital raise transactions. Fascinated by the companies his firm represented, Jake decided to dive into the startup world, working on a variety of projects from growth hacking to sales optimization. More recently, Jake led strategic finance at an enterprise software startup where he spearheaded fundraising efforts, successfully closing three rounds of funding, and drove the many initiatives to improve efficiency and growth. After experiencing the excitement of scaling startups, Jake joined the Ventureship Scholars program to learn the landscape through the venture lens and to help founders transform ideas into widely used solutions.

Jake received his BS from UCSD and is currently an MBA student at UCLA Anderson. Despite being years past an athlete’s prime, Jake continues to practice basketball drills, hoping to one day dunk again. He is also an avid traveler, fitness enthusiast, proud father of two dogs, and undefeated food challenge competitor.
